  1. Can a chiropractor fill out a DBQ, and can a claim be filled out for a condition that you receive chiropractic care for?
  2. Last night's podcast was really good. I had always assumed that Voc Rehab was only designed to get someone back to work. I never thought that I could use any of the benefits of the program to help for the betterment of my quality of life. In a previous post I talked about I am having vertigo and balance issues. I would like to see if I could get Voc Rehab to purchase me an adult three-wheeled bicycle. It's called a tadpole trike Could I have some suggestions on how to organize a strategy of how I should go about making the case, and what information I should provide?
  3. I also noticed that there were 19 users in the East Lansing area. I am in the Okemos area which is 1-2 miles from East Lansing so I imagine it includes East Lansing also. I wish there was a way to make contact with more users who lived in my area. Is there any way to start a sub forum based on locality?
  4. I'm really surprised that there weren't any users that showed up in the Augusta Georgia area. Fort Gordon Georgia is a happening place now.
  5. Thanks for bringing those points up. The report gives me the impression that the doctor is saying both things. To me it seems like he's saying he's capable of doing these things, but at times he has problems with vertigo and falls. I am glad he mentioned that I am not driving. I am under doctor's orders not to drive because of headaches dizziness and double vision. Which are all service connected.
  6. i don't think i posted the second page, but i'm things are gettinf blurry. i will look later. i will try again.
  7. I found a way to scan with my Surface 3, but it's page by page. i hope it's clear.
  8. Yes, i have ptsd rated at 70%. i was assigned a TDIU rating of qualifying 100%.
  9. My primary care doctor filled out a 21-2680,. A comment he made on the form confused me a little "Patient is at times limited in ADLs, secondary to vertigo and subsequent falls. I did not have any boxes marked "no". (unable to do an activity) Under Question #28 (med mgt) it was stated that "impaired memory from TBI may be impacting his ability to adhere to his medical regimen". How would this comment be interpreted? I apologize again for not having a scanner I do the best I can with posting what I can.
  10. When i was i injured I was given a 13 on the Glascow Coma Scale (GCS). I have been doing some research and I have seen that some researchers have proposed breaking up the GCS scale and setting the cutoff for mild at ascore of 14-15. The score for a moderate tbi would be from 13-9. First off, is there a way to ask that record be changed to reflect current medical research (see link at bottom for journal)? Secondly, is there any benefit to doing it? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3217203/
  11. My doctors at the Ann Arbor VA are proposing that my dizziness and veritigo could be related to my headaches. Are there any current users that have eperienced this?
  12. I admit it. I am lost. I don't understand a lot a lot of the posts or responses concerning the concerning SMC S orhow to qualify for it. In my case all of my injuries occured from one service connected injury. So would that mean that I would never qualify for SMC S because my additional disabilities are related to my tbi accident/injury? I Have heard Buck52 write something about that onlybeinv one of three ways of qualifying for SMC-S. Maybe someone could write a bookentitled "VA Benefits, For Dummies", if someone hasn`t already.
  13. I remember in my c&pfor anxiety & depression is says both that the symptoms are seperate and something about speculation. I will find my c&p.
  14. This is interesting. Detroit is my RO. My TBI was raised to 70% through appeal. I wonder if my case was a part of this?
  15. A VSO recently told me that a particular ruling in a court case had no particular or specific determination on the outcome of my case. A VSO looked at my case, and noticed that I was only rated at 90% schedular. He immediately commented that since I am not rated at 100% I am not eligible for SMC s. I tried to tell him that according to BVA's case tdiu had been interpreted as the same as a hundred percent, but he said "not necessarily". Law is a complex subject. I would appreciate others inputs on figuring out how to interpret this conversation. Maybe I got the comment wrong. Maybe that's not what he was saying. I don't want to put words in his mouth either.
  16. Hello, I have a request. I would like to research all of the cases where the board of veterans appeals approved or denied SMC tea benefits. Apparently I have not been typing in the correct search results because I haven't found a whole lot of information. If someone has been able to find more information could you please post a link with some better results?
