  1. Man these folks do not care about your constitutional rights . What they want is to control every aspect of your life.

If the government can force you to buy health insurance because you exist, where will it stop, you will be giving them the right to force you into anything against your will.

  2. Pete.... My theory is that 2 arguments that can't won is Religon & Politics & besides on this site it is forbidden...The sooner everyone understands that they'll make your job a lot easier, I agree, Political Posts should be deleted...Every one here knows not to post about politics Besides any thing about the subject that was posted about I believe there is no one who understands any thing about this idea

    GARY

Gary, you have enlightened me,now i understand why my dad used to say never discuss your religion or your politics.

  3. Nobody knows what is going to happen with this monster count me as one of the 55%.

I do not like being told by the government i have to do something or else.

And as far as affecting your va status i really havent heard too much talk on that issue, and that worries me.

I know this is a delicate issue and in my heart of hearts i believe i have been within the rules with my comments,if a moderator thinks not, please feel free to delete me and i will not post on this subject again.

  4. Sorry for your loss and you are not alone i have had a dumb look on my face for 40 years and have you seen dumb and dumber, well thats me since fooling with the va.

However sounds like you have prevailed and it will be there before you know it ,welcome to hadit.

  5. Yes, That's number 8.

Back when I was better able to do such things my buddies and I had put together some pretty radical machines.

2 Chevy pick-ups, 2 Chevy Novas, 3 Ford Pintos and now one Caprice.

I used to build these things in weeks.

The Caprice assembly is going on 8 months now and may take over a year before I reach a point where I can stop and look back and admire my creation.

Finding and acquireing and paying for new parts has taken over 3 years, mostly because of my limited budget and poor health.

I was going to use a Toronado but the availability of parts for that body really sucks.

I lost a lot of equipment back in the 80's and 90's due to unemployment and a bankruptcy so I'm into time consuming scrounging and borrowing.

Until this beast is street legal I have to be content just peeling out in the parking lot, which it's purty good at.

I have been acquainted with people that believe anything other than a factory stock restoration is a sin against God and man.

Fortunately, I'm a little more open-minded than they are.

    I like to play.

In the early 80's my toys had to double as transportation and I found that driving this kind of thing around is much better than trailering to the next show or race.

Now I'm trying to strike a balance between horsepower and fuel economy so I can afford to drive it.

In the meantime my old pick-up needs more parts thrown at it which will really slow down everything else that I might want to do.

The shifting weather really affects my arthritis so I'm down to a couple of hours per week building time.

But, as long as I can do anything, I will.

I'll get a picture of me in the cockpit sometime soon so ya'll can see how ugly I am.

  6. MET and EF measure the blood flow of your heart. usually, I have been told one has to have some damage to the heart and some restriction of blood flow to the heart.....

You may wish to use that thing called " GOGGLE " to research the term of IHD .

I did on the announcement of the three new AO Claims...

this lead me to use google.......

I found out that it looked like I had this type of situation..... No one had ever used these exact words.

probably because ... the Dr.'s knew we lay people have no clue to medical terms....

Goggle is your friend use it

Yeah, i could be walking around with ihd and not even know it, got to talk to my doc and get a stress test also.

  7. *************************************************

how many heart attackes have you had?

    What is your MET ?

    What is your EF ?

What medications for this are you ( Youir heart problem ) taking now ?

What part of your heart is damaged ?

Well i do not know what a MEF,EF is , and i take cholesterol meds,i have never had a heart attack that i know of. From what i understood it was an artery i have to follow up and find out.

I just know i was sent to vascular clinic and i cannot hear ,usually i have my wife with me ,but did make out they could not do anything about it right now. It was a large artery lower heart.

Like i say i am going to have to investigate and get a report of what was wrong. I am going to ask my doc next time because i have had some chest pains quite frequently here lately.

I do know my doc said i could drop dead of a heart attack any minute with my cholesterol so high and i do not weigh but 147 pounds.

  8. I know i have hyperlidemia and a few months ago my doc said something showed up on the cat scan i undertook. She sent me to vascular clinic and i cannot quite remember what they said.

Something about one of the big arteries just below the heart ,and said their was nothing they could do about it right now.

I have trouble with limbs going "asleep" at night and fast beating heart at times. I will have to investigate more about my condition . At the time i was very depressed and told the doc i did not care if i died of a heart attack.

So does this sound like ischemic heart disease ?

  9. Since that I am pretty new to hadit.com, I have to ask, what is VA IRIS?? How do you get to the site??

    Thanks, Scott

Department of Veterans Affairshttps://iris.va.gov/ - Similar

ok you can ask all kinds of questions about your claim status and a lot more,i have used it a lot and it is very secure, your questions and whatever else are routed to the appropriate place and you usually get an answer within a week sometimes sooner.

  10. Larry:

If I remember correctly we both go to copper clinic where for me they schedule me every three months and I forget and they send me a nasty letter and I eventually schedule again and see the Doc. Its a vicious circle cause until I heard this the Copper MHC was not in any shape or form connected to the regular notification system.

The regular VAMC notification is a phone call and nothing on the other side. One time I thought I heard heavy breathing but it may have been me instead of a friendly computer message.

The last time i talked to them they said they heard heavy breathing from my end and asked if i was alright,i am not kidding.

  11. Wow larry you sound like me on one of my bipolar rampages, know what you mean though,i have had those unexpected appointments.

The last was a colonoscopy exam and what i had to endure getting cleaned out for it.

Man i hate those damn things , you suffer for a week just to stick a camera up your you know what.

you would think they were filming the tonite show or something.
