Some Advise To All

I wasted hours of my time this weekend and also today in a situation involving-not the FERS neighbor I mentioned- but helping another VA claimant-

hours -----only to find out the truth of the whole shibang-

this happens every once in a while to many of us--

sorry I am griping about it-

I know better ---when you start asking the questions that matter regarding a claim- especially those that involve the basic pre-determinations of entitlement and you dont get any answers and the claimant suddenly changes the 'topic' time to start wondering about the claim itself-

I wasted precious hours only to discover this claimant has NO basis whatsoever and that VA did all they could but made a proper denial decision---

I have gotten countless emails from the claimant on this matter already and this is the main reason I NEVER give out my phone number-I have referred them to a whole list of vet orgs as they do not comprehend what I am saying to them-and I am stating the regs involved too in email links-

Like Vike said too----some people just dont want to hear the truth-or I guess they dont realise

that VA will check EVERYTHING so tell them a story that cannot be corroborated.

I am absolutely exhausted by this situation-NOT from anyone here-

but from two vet orgs I am member of -

and it was a major time waster not to mention- the whole thing started to smell real funny----

Compensation is earned and deserved by sacrifice-I truly wonder why some vets and widows think there are other ways to get VA cash in the bank.

thanks for your service to vets here and everywhere. although i have only been a member of this site and received no help from anyone here on my claim, i understand exactly what you are saying.

i see the posts asking for help, someone tries to help, then the story changes. and then it turns in to a pi@@ing contest.

but you and people like you help so many and as a third party, just watching, thanks for all you do for oh so many veterans!!

the situation just got worse than it was-and the story changed again-

I think VA smelled a rat -based on the RO letters -I sure did.

Men and women I think the VA does look out for you all-privacy wise-

I really believe they do-

I got scuttlebutt about 2 years but I dont know if it is true at all that someone tried to get info from the VARO on me-

or they tried to get info on Rod's comp-forget what-and the person who told me did have a possible way of knowing that-

???

regardless- the VA in my opinion- does all they can to never allow third party people with no relationship at all to you or the vet-get info on what you get as a benefit.
