Wondering, are there exceptions for VA doctors and contracted Dr.s to 'cross' state borders? Are they or do they need to be licensed in the geographical state to evaluate a patient, say for a C&P? Or is that only needed for ongoing practices? cg

cg,

I don't have an answer. I merely am interested in seeing how others respond, especially since my last C&P was done by a "contract" doctor rather than the VA examiner like in previous times.

They are practicing medicine for the Federal Government, hence state rules and regs do not apply.

Having said that, they must be licensed SOMEWHERE.

YES MY PSYCHIATRIST PRACTICES IN ANN ARBOR MI AND TOLEDO OHIO. ALL c&p eXAMINERS ARE CONTRACT DOCTORS, THEY GET PAID BY THE PATIENT. GO TO THE FED JOB SEARCH PAGE, GO UNDER DAV AND SEARCH FOR C&P YOU WILL FIND OUT THEY ARE ALL CONTRACT.

All C&P doctors get paid by the patient?

I didn't pay mine and he still gave me a "good" C&P.

Is this true, that the patient pays for a C&P examination? I never ask for any and didn't pay for it either.

The last one that I had, I feel that the VA still owes me for making me their guinea pig and dancing chicken. Get my drift?

Hang on.

Okay, I read that again.

I think what he meant to say, or meant to mean, was that the C&P examiner gets paid PER patient.

You know, like the gubbermint pays him/her $200 bucks a person for each exam?

I think he meant?

Maybe?
