I stay every so confused and at this point, this I can do without.

I called today and this is what I was told.

My claims file went to Rating Specialist - Decision made

Reviewed by Supervisor

Post and Determination.

This is my question, what does Post and Determination do?

Post and Determination sent the claims file back to Supervisor

Supervisor send the claims file back to Rating Specialist for changes.

Next question please. I read your post to Hurryupnwait, Paul's question, if you have the dumbest Service Officer in the United States, can you drop him, before he is allowed to make any decisions for you.

So far to date, he has not done one thing for me.

I called him today and to my disbelief, he didn't know what " The "Presumption of Soundness" Was?

I know that any Lawyer pulled out of the dumbest law school, could have anwered that question.

Thanks.

Josephine

I'm actually considering dropping DAV as my POA. The DSO is very hard to get an appointment with due to limited hours and numerous vets. He doesn't know my claims, doesn't have the wealth of knowledge that is available here, and I am feeling less comfortable having him handle my claim as of late. I am feeling very confident about handling my own claims from here on out thanks to this site. Does anybody know how to drop a POA?

BTW, Betty, I hope James is back tomorrow, I want to know more info on your claim almost as much as you do. I'm gonna be positive for you and speculate that it went back to a rater because it was too low and warrants a higher rating. Good Luck!

Hi Betty...

if your claim has made it to the post and determination department then a decision has been made on your claim.

Post Determination Team

Notify the veteran

Prepare the award of benefits, or the disallowance document. I would say you should hear something in about 2 weeks (hopefully). This is what you can do...call up the 800 number and ask them what your pecentage is if you have been awarded compensation they will tell you a %, but if you ask them what your status is they will not tell you do to regulations...that is why you ask what is your current rating %...biting my nails...

Josephine:

I am with Mountain Tyme on his explanation. Your claim if it has a big money retro will also take 2 or 3 signatures. I now its a very anxious time but maybe you should relax a little and let it work its way back to you?

Good Luck

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

I am hoping and I am going to be more persistent today, as to what is going on in that claim.

I can't see receiving any letter before Christmas, when they keep passing the thing aroud and around.

I hope that I have that lady Doc to where she has no wiggle room.

I am looking for them to find someway to wiggle out of the retro.

I didn't file for that darn pension to begin with, they just sent it to me with a denial for service connection.

How can they make me any less 100% Unempoyable to 1983, when I have a government seal Non _ service connected pension, that states those findings.

They sure had to use my medical records from 1965 - 1979 to make that evaluation.

I see no reason, why the DRO didn't use them when he denied me for service connection.

I have made sure that I have done as Berta has stressed, get all the information, rules and regulations in now, as when it goes to the Courts, there is no more adding of info.

I will keep everyone posted.

thanks bunches,

Betty

Time,

I hate to be a burr in their side, but I will be more persistent today.

I won't to know step by step, as to why my claims file is going around and around.

I can get around James, but not the other guy. My problem is only few have the security clearance to open my claim. It is that darn Sensitive - 6 placed on it.

The majority of them think that I was a VA employee, not true.

Thanks bunches!

Pete,

I don't know what it means to Relax! I have been this way for so many years, I don't know any other life.

As Dr. Payne would say, " How do I slow you down"?

Thanks, Pete,

Betty
