This is proof, never give up.....................Between my background as a criminal investigator, numerous NODS and request for hearings and the help I have received on this board (a special thanks to Berta :unsure: ) I won is much as anyone could.

First a little background

Claim filed Jan 05

May 05 30% combined rating EED 6/04

DRO review, no change

Then raised to 50% depression granted

Then raised to 70% PTSD granted

Then retro award (all at once)because of one NOD

80% EED 6/04

90% EED 7/05

100% EED 4/06

NOW SANTA CAME 3 days late………………….

Results from August 2007 DRO Hearing, decided Dec 28, 2007 (Hell of xmas present)

Chronic Pain Syndrome Ignored

Change see next item

Depression/PTSD 70 % from 9/06

Change- Granted 9422 Pain Syndrome @ 70% EED 6/04 lumped in with depression

Nephrolithiasis with hypertension 60% from 6/04

Change- hypertension removed and given a separate rating of 10% from 6/04

Nephrolithiasis remains at 60% from 6/04

Heart Disease

60% from 4/06

Change- EED of 6/04

Bulging disk 20% from 6/04

Change- None, I tried to get this changed because I believe it causes my hand problems

but they granted me a separate rating for my hand.

Prostatitus

20% from 7/05

Change none

PFPS Right Knee 10% from 6/04 Change none

PFPS Left Knee 10% from 6/04 Change none

Vertigo w/hypertension 10% from 6/04

Change hypertension removed and vertigo raised to 30% from 6/04

Tinnitus 10% from 6/04 no Change

Gerd 10% from 6/04 no Change

Left hip and foot strain SC 0% from 6/04 Change none

Hearing loss SC 0% from 6/04 Change none

Septum deviation SC 0% from 6/04 Change none

Rash SC 0% from 6/04 Change none

Incoordination right upper extremity SC 0% from 6/04

Change- changed to right hand dystonia 30% from 6/04

ED SC 0%, K award from 12/06 Change none

TMJ previously denied SC, change 10% from 6/04

Biggest Change

100% P&T effective date changed from April 06 to June 04

Its been a long hard road, and its not over there are still about 4 issues out there.

I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.

The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.
