HadIt.com Elder jbasser Posted February 20, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted February 20, 2008 Hi, I was rated at zero percent for hearing (one ear) and it is my understanding that if it gets worse (and reevaluated), I can obtain a hearing aid. The posts prior to mine point out other benefits. Ron Ron, You dont have to be Service conected for your ears to get hearing aides. If you are at least 10 percent they should be provided at no cost to you. Now if you are 0 percent for the ears and have no other rating, you should still be entitled to hearing aides. A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect. A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served. Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted February 20, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted February 20, 2008 My HelathBuddy tells me I am supposed to have my eys examined every year, HealtheVet.org says the same but my VAMC says no only every two years and than it takes over 6 months to get an appointment. Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
