Rebate Checks will be deposit to bank accounts starting this Monday and paper checks will go out on the 9th of May.

I paid over $1600 in taxes for 2007 due to some passive income I have. I also get SSD and TDIU. I hope me and my wife get back at least 1200 bucks of what we paid in to the IRS. An old class action lawsuit agaist my former employer paid me about $3500 and I was taxed on that as well. I was taxed on part of my SSD and my disability retirement is fully taxed. I never get a refund.

Correct me if I am wrong but if you get a settlement from a lawsuit if the money is from lost wages than you have to pay taxes but if the money is from pain and suffering than I guess you don't.

I think it depends on the case. Lost wages for sure you have to pay. Pain and suffering or wrongful death it is sort of tricky. I read the tax law on some of this and I was confused. Punitive damages I don't know if you have to pay or not.

When I did my taxes I just reported my ssd not my va pension, am I going to get a rebate check my income was more than 3,000.00.

The payment schedule page also has a link titled "where is my stimulus payment" If you use it and input your SSAN, filing status, and number of exemptions it will tell you if you payment has been or when it will be deposited into your bank account.
