E-mail and IRIS are two totally different animals.

I should not have said E-mail, IRIS is not email, it's encripted wiith added security. ~Wings

We used IRIS.

The response from IRIS inquiries arrives to the veteran through the veteran's e-mail program. I'm not understanding your point.

I have never had an IRIS reply arrive to me via email. You get a notice that a response to your inquiry is ready via your email. You then have to click on an enter into a secure link to view the response.

Allan, I thought we furnished you with telephone numbers and email

addresses.

Maybe not.

Yes Betty.

That was the fastest denial i've ever had. They were kind enough to notify me they denied it, some 6 weeks after the denial date on the notice. I recieved an answer to an inquirey from IRIS about a week after I recieved the notice from the appeals center. It said their still working on it.

I've been calling them again trying to find out why another medical opinion was ordered. It was ordered on May 12th, but it hasn't been sent to any Dr yet. It's still before a "medical review board". It will take another 60 days after it's sent out. Likely 6 month to 2 years for an answer.

None of Dr Bash's IMO's have been properly weighed and not only have they lost all supporting records Dr bash asked I send in with his opinion, but state If they can find them , they can't confirm their authenticity. They say I claim the records are from my c-file and they couldn't confirm I ever requested a copy of my c-file or military records.

I sent in maybe eight requests starting in 1975 and showing no responce from the VA until 1997. That was in Feb. i've recieved nothing else from the VA or my NSO.

BUMPING THIS THREAD

My Claim for EED and CUE were remanded to the AMC, September 2008. I called today, was told my Claim is with a "rating specialist" as of 10/27/08.

To read this thread, that would mean it could sit there forever.

What is a "rating specialist"?

I was told 30 days to 6 weeks for a decision.
