HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted October 7, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 7, 2008 RN's routinely prescribe meds at the VA. Yes a Doc is supposed to supervise but as a matter of course the RN is prescribing to a rubber stamp.
purple
Jim- I sent a complaint off to the Joint Commission. We shall see. Not only for the one set of meds that has already made me sick; but for the other two sets that have "do prescribe together" also. Pete- Perhaps RNs prescribe meds....but are they supposed to? And in my case there is zero Dr supervision and zero Dr co-sign or even a rubber stamp in my reocrds because I have copies of my records. The RNs name is on the bottles. But it isn't just her messing up. My PCP has me on other meds that are never supposed to be given together. Somebody has to stop these morons.
