71M10
Does anybody know if you are required to have the use of a cpac machine can you write it off on your income tax the installation of a standby house generator? Or get the VA to pay for it? Good question, I don't have the answer, but it sure sucks to wake up in the middle of the night with a full face CPAP mask on an no air comming down the tube!! If you want to do it on the cheap, use a battery, inverter, and charger/conditioner. Best regards, Tyler
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted November 5, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted November 5, 2008 I think that if you have those kind of problems you can get a battery backup for the CPAP. Actually a battery backup that people use for computer would probably work. Good Luck
Jack
Almost all CPAP machines are designed for use with 12 volt, you can ask the maker of the unit for the car plug in device or do like I did and purchase one on the cheap at Radio Shack. HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted November 6, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted November 6, 2008 File a claim and get a Doc to link it to the problems you had in service. If you are using a CPAP the Service Connection can be substantial.
