Something I read in hurryupnwaits mh progress notes post triggered a thought. Probably Pete and others recalling gaf doesnt seem to be 'everything' until the va says so.

Does anyone know if ratings are increased for a sc mh condition WITH medication? Maybe I missed the chart or regulation, just curious.

Thanks,

Cg

cg,

I don't know of any reg that provides a different rating percentage

in ragards to ratings for Mental Health Disabilities due to taking medications.

I do know of some disabilities they compensate differently

if medications are taken, example; neurological disabilities such as Epilepsy.

Here's the MH Schedule of Rating Disabilities for you to look over.

Hope this helps a vet.

the only way a prescription for MH type meds will help your claim is that it shows the condition is serious enough to warrant medication. Please see my mental health claim repository for the actual rating criteria, and definitions.
