Hearing

Rate this question

Billyboy

Question

The VA rated me 70% MDD and 100% TDIU about a year or so ?????? Cannot remember the exact date. Now I receive a notice of a hearing I requested 3-4 years a go. What would you recommend? I am happy with what I have and do not want to drive a long distance. Should I just ignore the notice, should I respond and say I no longer require a hearing? Any help, bill

If you are satisfied with what you have you can request that the Hearing be withdrawn. I must warn you there may be issues still left open. You should ask what the Hearing is for and make a decision if you have time. Its a shame I am sure that plenty of other vets are dying to be heard.

Good Luck

Thanks Pete, I am satisfied with what I have, I believe the hearing is for the 50 to 70% MDD I was requesting. Since then I have been raised to 70% MDD and 100% TDIU and just don’t feel like messing with the VA any more, bill

Dear VA, I no longer desire to carry out the appeal for claim number XXX-XX-XXXX.

Please cancel this hearing.

Signed The Veteran.

That will do it.

I would also add a IN REFERENCE TO YOU LETTER DATED just to keep them straight and not confuse them. Also I would mention that you rating was completed on xxx date and at this time you consider all issues satisfied (if that is what you feel). As I said this will probably un-confuse the yahoos and make them file your claim quickly in the file room for they will jump for joy cause they don't have to do any more work on your claim.
