C&p Exam Results Not Good

Rate this question

Question

I picked up my C&P exam results today and it wasn't good, they said I had all the secondary issues I claimed to have, but the they were less likely than due to my SC condition.

They said I had chronic sinisitis and Rhynitis, but that neither was due to my SC nasal fracture with deviated septum due to trauma, that their was no correlation between the nasal fracture and the deviated septom and that their is no definitive medical rationale to support the cause being the fractured nasal bone and the deviated septom.

I don't understand how they can say that when I gave them supporting medical literature that shows the rationale to be at least as likely as not.

I also applied for painful scars on my nose, but I am not clear as to whether or not they even plan to rate them, since I believe they may be rating the scars under the wrong diagnostic code, but I'll have to wait until the decision to find out.

It appears I am going to have to get a IMO with evidence/research/treatese, that supports the ENT specialist results, I get.

I am not in a very good mood, to say the least. I got the impression from the C&P examiner that her findings would be favorable, boy was I dubt. I'd go an call her out if I didn't think it would get me in deep doodoo or a private room with padded walls.

Got to go, using computor at VA to write this. they have a time limit so others can use it too.

Hmmmmm....I could use an aide if my feet continue to get worse. Now I have to often use the go cart at the stor to get around to shop because my feet hurt so bad. I have PN and other issues it seems. Pete, did you get the aide because you are HB?

That is whay I miss about being only IU instead of 100% schedular. Maybe I will get the nerve to file for HB since I have agoraphobia according to my last MH rating.

John999: Take good care of those legs, find a good hand lotion, made for damaged skin and if you can't do it, have a willing, preferably young and pretty gal, if your not married or have a lady friend already, to do it for you. Not being lucky in that department, I've had to manage it on my own.

It has appeared to do some good by lessoning the pain, I have to deal with, it has also reduced the number of times I get those periods of what I call, flair ups, which leaves my legs, at times feeling like they are on fire and at other times like tiny crawling things just under the skin have these tiny tunnels they are crawling along, drives me crazy and of course my PCP has no remedy for those times but to try and do something to take my mind away from it.

My brother has PN but it is more due to the results of tissue and muscle damage from a grenade in VN. He gets out and walks it off, even through the pain at times, but he has had his problems a lot longer than I have and had better follow up after his injury.

I think a lot of Disabled Veterans could use the help of an Aid, if not on a regular basis, but to come by to help out, by catching up on the household chores we just can't seem to get a handle on. I would like someone to be able to come and be a catalist, to get things done, so I don't become so overwhelmed or feel that way and then nothing gets done.

I do hope this episode with my neighbor doesn't exaserbate my own agoraphobia. It's been managable thus far, but when I do go out, I find myself putting more and more of a happy face on, when inside, my mind can't wait until I get back to the safety of my home and, dare I say it, my Cat and his new baby Step Sister. LoL :D

Wings: As far as I know, but I will double check, the only home health services in my state & county is for seniors and the blind. Any other services, that I have found are based on income and SSDI and VA are considered in the equation and I make too much.

At this point in time, all I can do is write myself a reminder and put it on my schedule to do list, since the week-end is once more upon us.

Rock, Does your State offer "Home Health Services" for social security disabled? Sounds like you need a housekeeper once a month, unless you can train the kitten! Can you find a babysitter for the kitten when you need to leave the house? BTW, if your PCP has your back, make sure to send her a dark chocolate candy bar ;-) ~Wings

Try the red cross. They have volunteers who may be able to help you initially "clean it up/ dispose of junk(or what you want to discard). Then do you have medicare eligibility? My in-laws previously had a home health agency person come in for 2 hrs a week to "catch up and clean up" for them. It didn't cost them a dime...I don't know how they were able to swing this, but they did.

The red cross help all over, so they do clean up disasters, and a vo ed counselor once told a vet to check them out, and they did.

You might want to check out with your county prosecutors office too. You ask why? Well many times people get community service to get their tickets reduced...they may be older, or younger...but they might help you find a volunteer...maybe someone would rather "help a vet" than sweep the street, or paint the curbs. Give them a call, what have you to lose? You might find a new friend too. Maybe 4 h club too.

Salvation army group too?

Rockhound is correct. Having someone put lotion and a gentle massage 0of my knees down to feet on a regular basis has made my condition much more tolerable and I think it also encourages better circulation. The lotion is also good for the skin.

The aide I got was my primary Doc's idea and I was very surprised that the VA agreed to it. The VA pays for everything and all I do is sign a paper that the work was done. They re-certify every 2 months. The records indicate that the VA is paying an agency about 1200 a month for 3 visits a week from aide and 2 visits from a nurse.
