Ken1
I just found this web site and have some concerns with up coming C&P appointments. 1. I have a C&P Audio schedule for 7/6/09 in Memphis 2. I have a C&P Audio schedule for 7/10/09 in Memphis Is it common for VA to schedule two appointments for the same type of test? I files for hearing lost and tinnitus in Oct 2007 and just now getting an appointment. I must state at this time I do not trust the VA claim process. I am going into this process expecting the person giving me the test will use some tricks. I am concerned about the procedure Thanks in advance for any feedback Ken
Cavtrooper088
Carlie, You're right I didn't reverse the percentages. Arkansas math <_< Thanks for the good information brother. I'll pull the decision paper out and look again. I was just so happy to get the boost up to 90% that I didn't look at the hearing results that hard. I do know one thing. I don't hear worth a hoot! Guest terrysturgis
My daughter received her decision yesterday. Bilaterial hearing loss 20%, status post right mastoidectomy with tympanoplasty for cholesteatoma and oitis media, and left cholesteatoma with chronic otitis media 10%, and tinnitus 10% for a total of 40 percent. The decision for tinnitus is as follows: "We have granted your claim for service connection for tinnitus as directly related to military service. Service treatment records do not show objective evidence of any in-service treatment, clinical finding, complaint, or disease process to establish the onset of tinnitus at that time while on active duty. However, a medical opinion at examination establishes a direct corelation between the current symptoms and the recurreny middle ear disease during military service. An evaluation of 10 percent is assigned". When I won my decision for tinnitus I sent the VA a tape recording I made to my wife while in Viet Nam. A battery of 155 artillery would shoot over my head 24 - 7 and the needles on the tape recorder would peak out. Evidence wins claims.
