Ok it's really sad enough to be funny but I think we should dispense with making fun of something that may be needed by Veterans

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

Thanks Pete.

Suicide isn't a subject to make fun of. Living with daily suicidal feelings is no way to live...and that's how it is for me and so far the VA has no answer for it. I've had several suicide attempts, some serious. There are times I truly need to reach out for help because my own thoughts scare me.

The new chat line has been a great add on and help to me as I don't like to call anyone...I don't do well on the phone. Might sound odd; but just how it is. I've had two family members who committed suicide.

Thanks in advance for not taking the subject lightly.

And, I apologize for any of my flippant remarks.

You see, humor is MY defense mechanism.

And, the ONLY thing standing between me and that bridge abutment that I have to pass on my way home, the one that I plan on using sometimes.

But, I should be more sensitive.

"It is cold and we have no blankets.

The little children are freezing to death.

My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food; no one knows where they are-perhaps freezing to death.

I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find.

Maybe I shall find them among the dead.

Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad.

From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."

Chief Joseph
