I have to split my Zocor as well, but at least it is the right dose. The ED meds rationing is just cheap and has some political overtones to it. Don't want horny old vets to get a woody every once in a while. Disabled vets need to suffer.

There are sexual perverts who have been castrated and continue to offend. Rape and child molestation are crimes and those people need to be sent to an island guarded by the coast guard. Let them live out their lives and if they try to leave the island blow them away.

Shay, I think you are wrong on this one, but you are entitled to your opinion.

Maybe those sex perverts should be in jail?

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

Hello Gus & Gals -

let me give a little insight. From the TOP of the FOOD CHAIN - it was decided that only 4 viagra per month would ever be prescribed from the VA per month.

Now Each VA has a head Pharmacist above all the Pharmacists- and they make decisions about saving money... if you get my drift. That may have decreased to 2.

I personally feel that (MY OPINION ONLY) no man that has commited a sexual offense should be allowed to receive Viagra under any circumstances. Now - that would save a LOT of money right there. Offenders are Offenders for Life. There is no reason to help them with Viagra. That is insanity.

ED is a problem for men on DM meds, heart meds etc. It can kill you by taking ED meds when you have hypertension. A lot of men take them anyway because they want sex so badly.

Diabetes or hypertension in control is under a persons control which would improve ED two some degree.

As was addressed in another thread, you cannot impose super long jail terms for people who commit rapes. It is in the violent crimes category and the punishment has to fit the crime (you may believe they should be put to death, jailed forever, etc, but you would have to trash our constitution if you did). It's a VERY difficult situation and requires some unconventional thinking in order to attempt to fix it. The biggest problem with rape is the ignorance that 99% of americans still suffer from in regards to the facts behind rape (very evident in this thread). Only about 2% of rapes end up in jail time for the offenders, so what would an island, a long jail term, taking away ED pills, etc due to really help the problem? You may prevent 0.001% of rapes overall that way?

Once people get it through their thick heads that rape is NOT sexual crime (IE - ED pills mean NOTHING in the grander scheme of things) and that the person who is going to rape your child/spouse is NOT going to be some scary guy with a criminal history, we may actually be able to start fixing the problem. If you want to find a rapist try looking in your house, or your neighbor's house, or your local church, or your kids school's faculty, etc.....one of those is about 90% more likely to rape a loved one then some convicted sex offender.
