Question

I was granted TDIU 100% (no exams, etc) earlier this year.I requested the $10,000 life insurance benefit.Just received policy(?) and a seperate letter from VA,refering to a VA Form 29-357,which is to follow. The VA letter says to fill out the form and to include a copy of Social Security disability letter if received. I am a little paranoid about this whole process? How does it work, etc. I don't want to do anything to mess up my TDIU status, etc. I don't want to be called in for new exams, etc. If you have been through this process please advise-Thanks

The VA is probably talking about a waiver of premiums since you are IU. I did it and it was easy. Once you get the insurance you just apply for the waiver. They are separate from the guys who rate you. As long as you are IU then that is all that matters. They will check your status before they grant the waiver.
