The CDC website is always a good source for research on health hazards from chemicals, lead, etc.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead

The ADSTR link at the bottom of this info also is a great place for environmental study info as to affects on humans.

Environmental Protection Agency

Red lead properties:

red lead, bright red to orange-red powder, also called minium, that is used in the manufacture of storage batteries, lead glass, and red pigments; a paint made with red lead is commonly used to protect iron and steel from rusting. Chemically, red lead is lead tetroxide, Pb3O4, a water-insoluble compound that is prepared by the oxidation of metallic lead or of litharge (lead monoxide); the commercial product sometimes contains litharge as an impurity.

Also lead discussion popped up in two older hadit posts.

Thank you Bertha for those links,,

I wish I could say yes, and give you one. I too might need one for my claim..

I have a claim in appeals from chmical poising from fuels, which contained lead. My VSO is also helping look for info. I had an occupational Specialist Doctor which specializes in ptro chemicals, and thoser that include (and inlcuded lead in the past..) exam me and my records and do an IME/IMO and also inlcuded is info on lead, and that tests could be used.

but, I see tohers have a links for you (us), and others do look.

The USAF never offered lead tests for vets who worked with lead..

Anyone have any links or info on this subject.

Thanks in advance

J
