GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THE VA. WHEN I ASKED THE VA PERSON TO IDENTIFY THEM SELVES THEY JUST SAID THEY COULD NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION BECAUSE MY VA FILE IS A-------

"SENSATIVE 7"

WHAT IS SENSATIVE NUMBER 7 ????

SO I JUST HUNG UP ON THEM. I'M WORRIED AND SUSPICIOUS.

Do you work for VA? This is what sensitive 7 is I think. I heard this once so only a few people have access to your file. Any employee of the VA cannot access their own file and will be sent to another RO for obvious reasons.

I googled it , you should google it and see if any of the criteria fits you, all i did was type veterans sensitive seven, or dept vet affairs sensitive seven .

Got a long list of what it could be. Give it a try.

What I understand from my Google search is that a Sensitive-7 file means:

1. Either you or one of your family members works for the Department of Veteran's Affairs;

2. or you have legal representation for your case.

However, VA employee are supposed to identify themselves, as that has nothing to do with your file. How do you know that it was not someone with 'stolen' data trying to get more? It pays to be wary, because they called you.

I also read that your are a Sensitive-7, if you are a Federal Employee, but that was not the case when I was a Federal Employee up to a few years ago.

I am a " Sensitive 7". My file is located in another state.

You are right about who can give you information or touch your file.
