Moderator pacmanx1 Posted May 6, 2010 Moderator Share Posted May 6, 2010 Here is the form, just try to be brief to the point on why or how you feel that your condition should be service connected. You can also attach any evidence you think VA did not consider. You may want to wait for the official denial to know what VA said to try to counter it. http://www4.va.gov/vaforms/va/pdf/VA9.pdf
carlie
My VSO called, to inform me that my claims had been denied and to fill out a Form # 9. Ken Ken, DUH --- Since they have my POA, it would seem to me like the VSO would have bothered to say something more like ...... We have received a copy of the VA's response to your NOD. Unfortunately the VA Regional Office has continued to deny you claim issues. Now we need to set up an appointment for you to come into our office. We will discuss and explain the reason/s that the VBA provided to support their continuation of denying your issues of service connection. As your service organization, we can take this opportunity to help you continue onto the next level with your appeal rights. Together we will fill out the Form 9 which is necessary to continue on. We will also discuss what steps you can take with your medical providers to help advance a more positive outcome at this next level along with any additional questions and concerns you may have. The above is what I personally consider,a part of them, doing their job. jmho, carlie

Berta
Many years ago I made a post here on how to file the I-9 out- and to include a caveat that NVLSP suggests- Will try to find it- Why did they deny? Was direct exposure to AO the problem? Well over a dozen Thailand vets and vets from Guam, and even one exposed in CONUS have succeeded in AO comp- as well as many Korean vets. I am just assuming- don't know why they denied. Are you a Blue Water Navy vet? A BWN hearing was held at H VAC this week. It is available online.
