Ed And Heart Disease

Question

I always thought that DM was the root cause of my ED and IHD. After reading this, I wonder why, back in '01 when ED first presented, the PCP gave me an Erect-Aid, patted me on the back, and said "go home and be happy". A year later they dx'ed heart disease. And in '05 they dx'ed DM II although I was criteria prior to dx of ED.

When the heart cant pump enough blood it fails to get oxygen to vital areas of the body. Including the important ones.

Hang in there. Are you taking Nitrates for the heart disease, Sometimes it helps.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

No nitrates, J.

Lisinopril for HBP. I have 2 artery blockages, right aorta mid 60% and left aorta 20%. They decided to try and treat with meds. 81 mg aspirin and 2000 mg omega-3 fish oil. Aspirin to thin the blood and fish oil to help it slide through the blockages. I've been fighting to get the heart disease SC'ed and now it looks like with the presumptives, I'll finally succeed.

I have seen this question pretty often on ED and usually don't post on it but.

When I had my very first C&P for my dm2 that I had claimed, the C%P Dr. said lets check your feet. He did and said you have PN I am going to add that to your claim. He then said from reading your file I see you have been prescribed Viagra. Is it helping any and I said somewhat.

Well I did not know it or maybe I didn't hear him but he put me in for ED too. Now I know this doesn't happen to everybody and like a lot of C&Ps they are done by foreigners by QTC as this one was, but the old Dr. sure had the best intentions for me. I ended up with 40% I think and the SMC K for ED. No complaints from what he did!

Stillhere you are right, not all C&P exams are a adversarial deal. My last one for Hep-C was one of the best that I have had.

The examiner was well versed on the disease and was very compassionate. Stated on the report that Hep was as least likely as not caused by needle stick while serving as a emergency room tech while on active duty (50/50).
