Question

OK...To keep this simple I will just use hypothical numbers

Say, on 100% compensation I am drawing $1.00 & I get awarded SMC (L rate) ar $2.00

Would I be getting $3.00 per month or would I just get $2.00 per month at the higher SMC rate?

Thank you

GARY

If you go to the charts, at the VA site, they show the amount paid for your level of SMC and the basic comp rate is included in that rate. The SMC rate shown is not added to the basic rate.
