red
Has anyone ever taken or is now using nuvigil. My wife had a stroke, her brain is slow and sets around allot. Could you tell me how it helped you, or if you know anything about it. The doc put her on it and she started taking it yesterday morning. Any side effects that you had with it. Thanks for your help. acesup
I have been using Nuvigil 150 since June. I have OSA and severe Periodic Limb Movement Disorder, which means I don't sleep so much; then in the daytime, I can be a zombie. The Nuvigl is great! So far I'm not aware of any side effects from it. It doesn't make me feel drugged like an amphetamine, and there are no bad effects when it wears off either. My appetite isn't really affected by it. As I understand it, the US military now uses this drug for combat pilots and special ops personnel, instead of using amphetamines. It doesn't just keep you awake and alert, it actually is fantastic for concentration, too. I can understand why a doctor might prescribe it for your wife for that reason. My insurance company kicked a little bit when I got the prescription, but they finally approved it. Hope it helps your wife get better!
