At The Rating Board

Question

My claim is at the Columbia, SC Regional Office and I was just wondering if anyone has any idea how fast or slow, they are processing claims. I know each one is different but the wait is getting to me I guess. Mine went to the rating board on 28 Feb 2011 so I'm already past the national average for the amount of days it's supposed to take, (16-27 days), but I understand that is the average from last year. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

16-27 days is a joke. Nobody knows how long it will take. It won't take five years but it may take five months or 10 months.

Why does IRIS put that out (16-27 days)???

If you have had your C&P it usually takes between 45 to 120 days to get an answer. That is a guess.

I don't know why the term "rating board" is still used as I don't think

they exist anymore.

I would say 3-6 months before you receive a rating decision.
