Have not had any luck with that, in fact have not found anyone I know ever getting back pay travel, but that may be a midwest thing...here in Mo anyway. But as you wrote basically there is always hope to get the appeal granted, but don't ever hold out believing it would occur, but be surprised and thankful it it goes through.
