Question

Sorry I dont know much about these things (websites like this) this is my first one my wife and daughter keep signing me up for blogs and facebook shit all the time. I have a few questiosn though I started my va claim about 4 months before I got off of active duty and I got a copy of my CandP and it says that I have a GAF score of 40 but I am not only claiming my PTSD or anything. What am I looking at for a compensation? and how long should it take to get my disability letter from the VA since I started it 4 months ago since I dont get out of the military till the 28th of this month?

See, this is why Rating Decisions can be such fun ... documentation coming in multiple times, out of order, and so forth.

My assessment is made without review of your Service Medical Records ...

I'd defer a rating for TBI (spinning) and PTSD to deconflict the symptoms. Note: the TBI diagnosos was made by an audiologist and I want a neurologist's evaluation here. My quick review of the various examinations showed overlap in symptoms of TBI and PTSD.

Solicit a claim for a few other conditions.

Based on what I believe you claimed, my evaluation (exclusive of TBI and PTSD and the solicited items if you choose to formally claim them) would be in the 60% range. Again, that's what I'd do without the benefit of review of your Service Medical Records.

Thank you all for all your help I hope this helps some.

Sorry I didnt know what to put in here but I labeled all of them so it would be easier to navagate so I thought but anyhelp is good help thank you.

Good gosh man - please don't scan everything -

probably nobody's going to read all of this, especially when

some of it is just the request to have a test or exam done.

It looks like your hearing is totally shot in both ears. Do you have tennitis?

On reading again I noticed that you do have tennitis, it is right in the report.

I'm not about to wade through your C&P records again, so I'll let you do it ...

As I recall, at the end of the general C&P (I believe it was by QTC) there is a fairly lengthy Remarks section about your feet (and perhaps other things too). Also as I recall, there were some radiological reports for your feet.

It's not totally clear to me whether you had claimed a foot problem or whether this came up during the exam. If you claimed it, sorry for getting you hot and bothered. If you had not claimed a foot problem, you likely should.

The feet problems came up during the exam but I thought that since it came up there they would add it to my claim since this was my first exam for the VA so I will get ahold of my VA rep again and see what he says thank you for your help
