Closure
Well, I filed a NOD in Feb2006. It was sent to the BVA and BVA starting reviewing it in 2008. My claim was remanded due to me not having the proper exams that were supposed to had taken place. Also, my previous exams were found to be inadequate they were over four years old, and BVA stated that they were not within range to make a fair decision. Therefore, my case was remanded to the AMC in Jan 2011. I was scheduled for C&P' exams and went in April. Claim was decided and authorized 13 Oct 2011. Received a retro deposit 18 Oct 2011. So, ladies and gentlemen dont't give up! Really people do not know what a toll this takes dealing with this system. I remember getting my decisions prior to this and what I use to read in the notes really was dissappointing. For instance I went for a C&P exam in 2006, had surgery the week prior on my knee. Dr. put in my notes veteran states he wears a knee brace to support instability. However, he is not wearing it today. He is on crutches. Why would I need a knee brace if I am on crutches? Further more I still had stitches in my knee. Dr. stated I was uncoooperative and pain seems too be exaggerated. Man! Onceexam was over I for assistance with shoes and socks DR. stated " get dress the best way you can" I went to the patient advocate asking that thje Dr write a letter of apology. Still waiting. I hope this story helps someone I really do, I am still tired , What a fight, but you can't win if you give up. May GOD Bless Alll Of You!! HadIt.com Elder jbasser Posted October 18, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 18, 2011 Good Job. The only thing you could have did better was this: Listen up folks. If the VA gives you a prosthetic device and you go to a C and P exam, You had better be wearing it. That goes for all devices including eyeglasses and hearing aids. The C and P docs have read your file and they are looking for these devices. J
NJBB62
Good point J, I went to my c & p exam for TDIU for my coronary heart disease and he asked me if I had my reading glasses with me, I thought that was odd, but I had them. NJ
