Claim Is Done?

Question

The strangest thing happened today. I get a call from the 800# which my wife answered and said I need to call them. So I called and the rep said that phoenix called me however they didn't leave a message in the system what they were calling about.. She thought it was about an IRIS submitted the other day. Now we all know that doesn't happen for at least a week to a month.

1 hour later another call from the 800# and the rep said I got some good news for you. Your claim has been completed. I said -great, outstanding. He said some claims have been approved, others denied. However he can't open it up right now as it hasn't been scanned into the system. Also said the new site is a pilot, not sure if they are going to keep it.

So, according to this, e-benifits is totally worthless. Now I am in limbo with a possible heart attack wondering what the hell is going on.

Pehaps the cardio was approved as it was the cue from the VA which was raise my claim from 50-60, or 70%.

Why call if you can't give me the whole story. And the system letter generator is broken, it won't show none of this.

Also, I just received an old iris message from October the 4th in my e-mail today which states-

Dear Mr.

This is in response to your recent inquiry to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) dated October 4, 2011.

We apologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry. We are currently experiencing a large volume of inquiries and are working as quickly as possible to respond to each in a timely manner.

Our system indicates that you may print a Veterans percentage letter on eBenefits. We apologize if there was an error when attempting to print this type of letter. If you have problems with eBenefits in the future, please contact our customer service line at 1-800-983-0937. Hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 8am to 8pm EST.

Thank you for contacting us. If you have questions or need additional help with the information in our reply, please respond to this message or see our other contact information below.

Great-where is this new letter % letter at as My new glasses certainly can't find it?

2 hours later the same VSO called back from Phoenix. He says they are now attempting to call the Veterans when there claim is approved. They are just waiting to sign off on my claim. I did get him to say they approved my cardio claim from 30-60 %. He said I will be pleasantly happy with my claim even if only a few claims are approved. If that is so, I would go from 50% to 70$ with retro from the date he gave me from Jan 2010. Now I will just wait for the authorization.

Another VSO will check to see that that are no errors, then approve it.

I have a feeling that I might find out something before e benefits shows. The VA worker who called me last week almost gave me they whole enchilda with my favorite sauce by saying-do you want to know what the decision is. At the last seconds, he caught himself. They are not allowed to say anything until you have the official letter in hand. Just you will be very happy with the decision. Yep. Just dish it out before my vacation coming up.

I think each VARO is run separately. So if you are in AZ, you are out of luck as they have no one to punch the info into the system. They are busy doing more important things like reducing the back log. And the national average once your claim is in the notification stage stage is 16 days. What was the national average for the decision stage stage. 1-2 years if I remember correctly. Its holloween now, so the VA is going trick or treating on us.

This is my new status-"We are currently unable to access information about the claims you have filed with VA. If you need help, please call 1-800-827-1000". However the info about my appeal is there. Perhaps someone is attempting to update that file to notification and it crashed.

Agonizing, isn't it?

This is what I look like everyday when it's mail time.

I meant to add that mine claim area status says that as well. I just think the site is down.

My RO is Portland and they are usually pretty good at updating Ebenefits. My site says 16 to 28 days for decision stage (mine was in that mode for 33days). All it says for notification is that decision is made and all letters are sent.Only messages is that site will be done again this weekend. But mine is down every weekend for changes. They usually update twice a week. That is one thing that they are good at.New fiscal year begins Nov 1, so thats when I figure they will transfer funds.I remember hearing something like they wanted to try and get all AO claims done by Oct 31.Mine has a couple of things in that category, beside my 1151 claim.Even tho I never got a Nehmer letter or AO physical that I'm aware of.Had 3 C&P exams. So I will be pleased if I made my case, for it was a Korean claim. First place I always check is my bank. Most of the time my mail takes two days to come from Portland. Didn't know if my med center would have the same access as the RO to see what they showed for ratings. They are usually last to know anything. Most of the time I have to tell them.lol I just need to know by Dec 2 what my status is so that I can fill out yearly qualification paperwork. If I find a back door to Ebenefits, I'll let everyone know.Mike

This link is not applicable as you must first be logged into ebenefits.

I can't find this letter generator on the new site-has it been moved some where else?
