Clothing Allowance

First let me say that I have been receiving the clothing allowance for years (right knee brace). Recently I was issued a brace for the left knee (SC). I read here or somewhere that it was possible to get the clothing allowance for each SC condition. Does anyone have any information on this or was I just dreaming?

Still nothing. I'm going to call the Augusta VAMC and see when this is supposed to happen.

I have always been paid on 8/23.

Don't know what this year will bring because I did file the new form for the dual allowances. I already had an approval for both braces since last year from 2 different VAMC's.

Did everyone who wants dual allowances fill out the page 2 section?? Bottom of page is a check mark and then there is a place to list what braces, where and when and who Rx them.

I did for dual allowance. I am just hoping everything goes through.

Still waiting on mine, applied for dual. Still waiting to hear from anyone who has received their clothing allowance.

I called yesterday about mine. Augusat VAMC said letters should be out in Sept - payment usually follows within two weeks. No word on approval for dual due to bilateral issues.
