elmersnutz
I recently recieved a pension without getting a C&P exam. I'm wondering if this is common? And if this good for my case for compensation?
HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted August 5, 2012 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted August 5, 2012 Why they awarded it w/o an exam may depend on you age? At 65yo all wartime vets are considered disabled for pension. pr
Berta
"And if this good for my case for compensation? " When they award pension they usually make a statement as to any pending claim for service connection and why they awarded pension and not service connection. Has the VA sent you a VCAA letter yet regarding your disability claim? The criteria for VA pension is completely different from Service Connection. What is the status of your disability claim? . GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

At 65yo all wartime vets are considered disabled for pension. pr Good morning, all. Phillip, I'm still a rookie to all of this, and working through it as I go. What periods does the VA consider "wartime"? I know that WWI and WWII veterans are automatically in the system, but what about Korean War, Vietman War, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, OIF,etc. Does the VA use some classification chart for periods of wartime? Thanks again, Mark USAF Active Duty 1988-1994 Security Police - Law Enforcement Specialist Thank you all for your service to our great nation. HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted August 20, 2012 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted August 20, 2012 Mark - it looks like USMC5811 posted the links to answer your question(s). Thanks, USMC5811. Remember, Mark, one need not be involved in the "war" itself but does meet the requirement by having wartime service. pr
