tdiu Supplemental Insurance

i have recently been awarded permanent and total tdiu and as you know this qualifies my wife for champva. she is 62 years old and not eligible for medicare yet. can anybody advise me of a supplemental insurance that will pick up what champva doesn't pay. any help will be greatly appreciated.

She could contact AARP and look over their plan.

Her CHAMPVA (she formally has to apply for this) is,in many cases, retro to your EED for the 100% P & T.

It is a wonderful benefit.

She needs to apply and receive the actual CHAMPVA booklet to determine what type of supplement she actually needs.

I have a small co pay annually for the med I take.

So far Medicare and CHAMPVA have paid for everything but my 580 buck orthotics.

They say falls can cause seniors a lot of additional physical problems every year and many seniors need orthotics for balance, ankle and arch problems and even foot braces, but neither Medicare or CHAMPVA pays for good prescription orthos.

CHAMPVA on line has the application she needs to fill out and send to them.

I had 2 problems with my pharmacist over the years and CHAMPVA fixed those problems in a heartbeat.

Also we have SVR shows in our SVR archives from Glenn Johnson, the VA's CHAMPVA top gun.

I wish veterans had CHAMPVA as well as dependents.
