You know Paxil is pretty good for panic and agoraphobia. It seems to take my mind of these things and focus on the present. I know it helps with the obsessions and the dread of something happening in the future.

Thanks John,

I've been on Celexa for the past 3 weeks, but have quit taking it because it made me have some unwanted ED side effects. I should have an appointment here when my shrink gets back from vacation.

I'll look into Paxil. I've been on several, but most seems to give me problems that my wife and I can't live with

Yes, all those prozac type drugs do the same thing. You trade one disability for another.

I went back and told my doctor about my side effects and he said" I'm not saying that you can't have those side effects....but it's very unlikely" now what am I to think of that? I told him I was having worse panic attacks, and he gave me Lexapro knowing full well that it is the same type of SSRI and will more than likely give me the same symptoms...well it did. He was getting rid of me and wanted to make sure that my records reported that he had done something.

I was really angry at the time since I know that Xanax or Ativan will help, it has in the past, but he won't prescribe those. I plan to write a letter and submit it to be recorded in my MR so the doctor knows that I have no relief from the SSRI's and am without medication to control my symptoms.

I try to reach out and get help, but there isn't any out there.....should have stayed where I was (not seeking treatment) at least it was my choice then and help could be had. And they wonder why some people self medicate.

Some of the SSRI's have complicated side effects and I know that Serzone does not mix with Statins. If you are sensitive to one type of SSRI you will probably have the same side effects with all of them. I don't take anything now besides pain meds. I have tried them all I think.

BoonDoc, I have a Pomerenian. He weighs 4.5 lbs. Eats very little and makes small poops. When we walk if he runs out of energy I can carry him. He takes less room in bed than the wife. Loves to ride and puts up with everyone petting him. I took him to my bank and the teller smiled and said to me "You look gay with that little dog". Most of the good looking ladies smile at us and say "How Cute". I'm sure they are talking about Sam and not me. I named him Sam as it stands for Small Angry Mut. Maybe I should breed him with a Pug. T-Bird is yours availiable?

My daughter gave me Sam when she was on leave from the Army. He has been a blessing. Terry Sturgis

sorry terry etta is smc loss of creative organs B) i know what you mean she is great and helps me all day long whether i want it or not. she's great for walks especially when i don't feel like it. it's good for me if i am feeling really down i just take her leash down and she won't leave me alone till we walk, it's a motivator. she loves a cozzy and a cuddle and she is a big hit whenever we are out. she is almost always happy and if she's not it's my fault B) i have added a cat i named her eartha kitty, she was lost and showed up at my sisters house about a year ago so i took her in, she is a calico very beautiful and has the nicest personality hard to believe. she get's along with etta and most everyone else she has acclimated nicely to the house. i try to take them to the groomers once a month, eartha is a long hair cat and i have her shaved once a month she looks like a lion when she's done. she loves it. etta getts clipped and bathed also she is a short hair dog but pugs shed like nothing i've seen before, the clipping and anit shed treatment really works.
