Berta
The VA cannot 'combine' PTSD ( an MH condition) with TBI (physical trauma to brain) but they can do funny math.... There is considerable current info here at hadit on TBI and the rating regs are going to change.....soon . I posted the TBI C & P worksheet the other day here......a hadit search should bring it up. GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted February 1, 2013 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted February 1, 2013 The TBI issue is just getting the attention it deserves. Now football players are suing the NFL over TBI issues.

HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted February 1, 2013 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted February 1, 2013 I had heard on NPR that football players who had TBI's in their 20's find that they have severe memory problems and other problems in 40's and 50's. The damage is cumulative. Every time they see stars they are getting more damage. My father-in-law had a TBI in the Marines in WWII and he was half crazy the rest of his life. He could appear totally normal and then set the house on fire the next day.
