Question

Hello fellow vets,
I have been using this forum for a while and I would like to thank everyone for their help with my disability claim. I was just recently award 80% combined disability, 70% for anxiety and 20% for hernia. Long story short I was diagnosed with MST, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, Chronic Depression and Insomnia, along with Liver Disease and currently awaiting a liver transplant from the Pittsburgh VA. I was told by other vets and my pretty useless VSO to file for IU. Is the VA FORM 21-8940, JUN 2011 the only form I need to submit. And what advice would you give me on how to attack this. Letters from Dr's etc;
Many thanks again Vets.

I was told by other vets and my pretty useless VSO to file for IU. This time the VSO is correct. I Would ask your doctor to write something

stating whether he think you are unemployable from your sc disabilities.

USAFSF,

I would obtain a letter from your doctor stating that you can not work due to your service connected disabilities. Submit this with a VA FM 21-8940 and a VA FM 21-526ez. This is the form for fully developed claims. These claims go much faster when submitted as an FDC.

good luck!

Thanks everyone, I am going to contact my Dr's tomorrow and see if they will write letters for me. Let the journey begin again!

The doc also needs to not only opine that ,

you can not work due to your service connected disabilities,

but must also support the opinion with full medical rationale

as to the why's and how's your SC'd conditions, render you to be unemployable

in their opinion.
