Which Ro Do I Use?

When I got out of the service I lived in AR and I stayed there for a couple of years. So my inital claim was submitted to the Little Rock RO. Since then I have move to Chicago and now my claim was just completed. I'm wanting to appeal but I'm not sure if I can use the Chicago office or if I have to use the same office that I originally filed with.

It's your choice. If you file any claim that needs a C&P, with the AR VARO, you may have to go there for the exam. One other thing to consider is the RO's workload but the choice is yours. jmo

Philip,

Wouldn't he initially file his appeal with the RO that issued the decision? I ask/point this out, because if he changed his address with Little rock and they transfered the claim to Chicago and they(Chicago) issued the decision, any NOD mailed to Little Rock might sit around for a long-long time before anything is done?
