Letter From Employer

Question

I have a letter from my employer to go with FMLA paperwork. I am going to try and get into MH today to get it signed and start the process of Medical disability from my job. I should have done this along time ago, but I kept trying to hold out. Since June, I have been having more stress problems that have been effecting everything. I am in the beginning process of getting MEB also,(Been out since 06) I had to sign an extension to go back in the National Guard for 1 year to get it completed. Can someone tell me how this will work. I am 70% ptsd from the military since 06. I went back to my old job after Iraq, but I have difficulty maintaining.

I just realized I am assuming too much here....

are these meds you take all from the VA?

Since the labeling changed on Seroquel,in 2011, does the VA med side affect print -out cover that change? And has the VA been giving you regular EKGs?

qwiksting,

a medical board will only cover those disabilities that prevent you from continuing military service. With a 70%

the VA claim will cover all disabilities that you submit and are deemed service-connected.

I'm surprised your doctor or unit commander hasn't directed a med board with your current diagnosis of a mental health condition. This is supposed to be done automatically. I don't have the regulation for this now, but I do have it in my office and will obtain it for you if you need it.

Good luck!

I was kicked out in 06 due to ptsd, no severance no meb no nothing...till I got the abcmr involved. They said what the army did was wrong to bring me back in ( i had to sign an extension for one year to complete the meb) My packet was sent to pinellas park on the 27 of august. I was told to go see the VA for my problems. I wasnt given a physical or anything.
