Primary Doc Changing Disability Status In Med Recs

Rate this topic

Recently I got copies of my entire medical file from my va hospital in WACO texas. While going thru the records, I found several instances where the primary doc, changed several of my conditions that I was being treated for, from UNKNOWN to NO. I am currently in adjudication with the va over the claims that the doctor changed from unknown to no. I went to a patient advocate inside the va hospital, and was told the doc should not have changed my status, becasue that was c&p territory. So I asked that it get changed back to unknown while my claim moves forward. Nothing was done., So a month later, I call patient advocate, for follow up, Patient advocate refered me to her boss, who said the same thing, that they would try and get in tough with the doc, and see abt getting things changed , well long story short, they blew me off and never did anything. Why my primary took it upon herself to change my status is still a mystery to me. I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE READING THIS, TO GO GET A COPY OF YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS, AND READ THEM.

I would speak DIRECTLY with my PCP that noted these changes

and ask WTF and WHY-TF they are doing this and to fix it now !

well what happened is I was furious, abt her doing that, and the fact that she would not refer me to a orthropedic doctor, abt my back. I kept asking and they kept saying my back was fine and its not. So I asked for a new doctor, which ive had for a couple of months now. What I plan to do, is ask him for a referal to orthopedic doctor, and see what he says, if he says no, I will check into calling VA inspector general . there is ALOT more going on behind the scenes of the va hospitals than anyone would ever believe.

I also believe they sell patients names to mailing lists. a couple weeks ago, I got a rx for viagra for ED,, a week later, I start getting some sexual aid ads from some german company, gauranteeing BIG results if u know what I mean. I have never got anything from a company like that before.

if they sell our names they should at least compensate us adequately so I could afford some BIG results.

when I first found out abt the chages my primary made, I went to my DAV rep with my records, he was shocked, and went in the other room and called someone abt it. also I spoke with a friend of mine who works as a clerk at the waco va, and she said she couldnt think of a reason why the doctor would do that. and that this particular doctor, got ALOT of complaints against her, from patients and staff alike.

Sierra,

If you have a new doctor, could you just get the new doctor to change the designation back to unknown?

I am by no means trying to diminish your frustration that your records were changed and no one can provide you with a resolution. But if you could get the new doctor to change the designation back to what it was, at least you would have that much accomplished while you fought the rest of it.
