The biggest single monetary benefit is relief from the property tax on your residence. (with some limits)

Next, one vehicle can be exempted from the annual tax and license fees, with the DV tag free.

The county tax/tag office in my county requires/required that you take the VA documentation to the local state DVA rep.

He then generates a letter to the tax & tag office.

Fishing/Hunting licenses are also free, but you have to apply directly instead of just going to whoever sells them.

If you happen to run a small business, there can be benefits in that area as well.

Hollis,

Vync and Chuck covered all of the benefits I am aware of in the state of Georgia. I saved about $2400.00 on my property taxes and about $400.00 on vehicle advalorem taxes in 2014. Maybe one day all of us Georgia 100% vets will meet when we become residents at the Georgia War Veterans home where can tell each other war stories.
