Status Changed. Development Letter Sent

My claim skipped "Reviewing Evidence" and went straight to "Preparation for Decision" today. A note says the status changed and development letter was sent. If it was a proposed reduction wouldn't eBennies say so?

Reason for concern: shrink on C&P used language in 50% range and I'm in the 70% range currently. They changed expected completion date from May of 2015 to December of 2015. Why would they need that long to "prepare for decision ?"

You never know with the VA. I know how you feel bud, I am 70% PTSD and just found out last week that I have a PTSD review at the VA, and I was not supposed to be reviewed until Feb 16, WTH!!! Sorry for the rambling, just hope it goes well for the both of us. BTW this current FDC claim that I have was a Prep for Decision since Dec 13, then it magically went back to Review of Evidence and now I have 8 C&Ps next week at 2 VAs.

Gadzooks! Guess I'll have to wa I t for the development letter. C&P was for a TDIU claim.

Can't trust those projected timeframes in eBenefits for anything. They're completely spurious with no bearing in any kind of fact.

BTW: "Development letter sent" may just be an automatic thing. I never got a development letter (and that isn't the first time).

Just before my husband's claim was decided, they moved his projected date way out. Then, it completed quickly.
