Cp Exam For Cervical Spondylosis

Rate this question

Question

First time user. I recently received 20 percent DDD and 20 percent for left leg radiculopathy (50 percent overall). Today, I received another letter to come in for another exam. On my initial award letter, "cervical spondylosis" is deferred pending this exam. I never claimed anything for my neck. What should I expect at the exam and why did they pick up on this when I never mentioned my neck. I'm not complaining, just curious. Anyone have this happen?

Welcome aboard and nothing to worry about. Looks like the VA may want to check out a possible disability that went unknown. I have the same type of situation next Monday. Just go in there and be honest. Good luck

george1637,

I agree with the others. Go to the exam.

In the event you did not know, the following is offered:

Since you are rated at 50%, you are now in group 1 in the VA healthcare system and no longer have copays for any VA appointments or VA prescriptions. You are also entitled to reimbursement of alll VA copays you paid for appointments and prescriptions back to the effective date of the award giving you a combined rating of 50%.

Good luck to you and thank you for your service.
