Got a call from my PCP wanting me to come up to the VAMC and go to labs...

Dr said I can go the 22nd of this month when I have hand surgery if I want or go any time this week,iI said sure,

I chose to go today because I just don't want to do it on my surgery day, I got to VAMC labs and they said I didn't have an appointment for labs? WTF??

They called my clinic and the clinic clerk told the lab clerk my appointment was for the 22nd Feb after my hand surgery...I said that's BS Dr said to come any time during the week she said she would put in an order, well they never had the order, grrrr

I went up to my clinic check in they said I'm not suppose to come until the 22nd Feb...here we go again I said that's bullshit. let me talk to my PCP ''she busy'' well a NP then .... so I talk to the NP and she understood and set up an order for today...this took me about 4 or 5 hours of VA bullshit.

I got my labs done before I left.

.anyway I think there giving random screen test on our pain meds now...I was sent half my bottle of pain meds the PCP called and said she will send the other half after my screen test.

I am not worried because I take all my meds like there prescribe to do.

Buck!

I heard every 3 months? to be tested! &to keep your perception. or your pcp can request it any given time.

AS mine just did...although I go every 6 months for labs and clinic appointment check-up!
