Question

Hello All

A couple quick questions.

Will I run into issues if I put in a separate new claim for PTSD - Depression (Applied on January 2015)?

30% PTSD rating was already granted to me in august of 2014. I wasn't sure on how the mental health claim process worked and started a new claim. Now I know you can only have one Mental Health claim on file.

Just submitted a whole new separate claim not an increase. With that I also reopened my Tinnitus claim (I missed my appointment).

Which route should I go? Is it possible to withdraw that claim and apply for an increase or will this be treated as an increase?

Since my last Va Exam I have been fired from my job and have gotten into several fights. I think I was lowballed to begin with.

You were awarded last august, I would write a NOD of that decision. That would keep the claim open. The Tinnitus will not effect the other claim.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

Why would you open a new claim for PTSD??????? When you have a current claim still open????? You should file a NOD, adding all your new evidence, to your current PTSD claim. A new claim would start a new claim date and, if awarded, you would lose any retro you may be entitled to. jmo
