Has this happened to anyone?

Question

I have a NOD/Appeal in for increase.  Last week, the status totally disappeared from EBenefits.  It was in the "Gathering of Evidence" phase.  Called Peggy, and she said that it is still pending, and has been received by Regional Office.  Now, the claim was completed by the Togus, Maine RO, but I am in the Philly RO area.  On December 24th, I got a call from Philly VAMC, but they did not leave a message.  I am not treated in Philly, but treated at Lebanon, PA VAMC.  Has this happened to anyone?  No one at VAMC knows who called or why.  Wouldn't the Togus, Maine RO handle the appeal since they are the ones who completed the claim, or would it get sent to my RO in Philly?  Just wondering who could have called from Philly VAMC?  Very confused!!!

on a different thread Buck gave me a number for "office of communications and case management." 202 530-9470.

answered right away and said he'd get with the office that had my retro issue.   May be worth a try.  at least he didn't give me the 240 day line.

Is that number one I can call to get claim or appeal info?

I used the case management number a few years ago. They were very helpful, but told me that they only help when an RO-level appeal is stuck for 18 or more months. I was at 17 months, so I waited another month, called back, and they helped me get my DRO appointment scheduled pretty quick.

Nothing crazy about your claim bud. It was Outsourced, no big deal and usually works in the Veterans Favor as far as Time Line goes. When an appeal or claim is out sourced, it can throw the Paper Trail off for a bit, especially around the holidays. Just try to stay calm and see what happens. Good luck and Keep us posted. Hope it does work in my favor.  I was just worried because it disappeared from EBennies while under the Gathering of Evidence phase.  If Togus Maine decided my case, would they also handle the NOD?  Or could it be decided by a DRO in Philly?

Mine did the same thing last week. Turns out it had been decided and was moved to Historical Appeals.

Limbo is status quo for the VARO.
