HadIt.com Elder Chuck75 Posted May 7, 2016 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 7, 2016 Statement in recent news media "If approved by Congress, the VA discretionary budget will equal almost as much as the department’s entire budget 10 years ago. Both mandatory and non-mandatory funding totaled $79.5 billion in fiscal 2007, less than half the $163 billion budget finalized for fiscal 2016. " This brings up a suspicion and some serious questions based upon the difference between 2007 and today in terms of not just inflation: Number of VA employees and total salary paid as well as average salary per person, divided by workers, supervision, and management then and now. Number of 100% and or SMC veterans and other direct veterans compensation payments, and average per veteran direct payments. General administrative budgeting then and now. TALON II FE
Inflation has been out of control, but most don't notice it because they get distracted by all the "non-news". Those of us on fixed incomes are getting crushed and most don't even realize it yet.
HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted May 8, 2016 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 8, 2016 around here where I live you would never guess we have an inflation problem people come and go go go Every time a AT&T Stadium has a concert of some sort or Football games Basketball games or any type of a special events it fills to capacity...so someone is getting there money some place, the people go go go all the time here. But will it all last?? as opposed to fixed income people and veterans we stay at home and watch all the confusion ! I am very scared of America's future.
