As to the Corps concerns "Building good people," maybe. If following orders without hesitation and being extremely proficient with one's "Trigger Squeeze," equals Good People, then the "Old Corps" Marines would be classified as "Good People."

A civilian finds out or you tell them you served in Combat with the Crotch, the 1st thing that comes to their mind, is not a "Good Person." Sometimes, that's a good thing.
