Just Saying Thanks

Question

The phone number someone recently posted to call for VA assistance really was a big help to me.

I had submitted a FOIA request last Oct. to the St. Petersburg VARO for my c-file.

The FOIA request for my claims file had been sitting with no movement which had seriously hampered my ability to develop the appeals which I have outstanding.

I called this number last week.

Today I found out that my claims file request is complete, and the claims file is being mailed to me.

Thanks Hadit.

That is wonderful news! I am glad to hear it worked for you. The President put this into place recently and I am glad folks are having success with it. The phone line — live now at 855-948-2311 — is designed to “collect, process and respond to the complaints of individual veterans in a responsive, timely and accountable manner,” according to Department of Veterans Affairs officials.
