SMC T

To clarify a point that continues to be misstated.  The TBI rating is not the rating that has to be 100% it is the residual of the TBI that needs to be 100%.

Because I have epilepsy 100% that is the only residual of TBI that I have knowledge about.  Iows I have no working knowledge re PTSD.

I think the TBI  focus is more set on the newer gulf war veterans vs pre-war veterans from Vietnam, korea , and WAR WAR II  Shell Shock'' veterans

here is a link from the VA about TBI VETS

The Gulf War vets situation definitely brought the issue into the forefront.

The Caregiver program is definitely post 9/11.

Any vet that qualifies regardless of era can receive SMC T.

In my opinion I think any veteran that has had trauma to his/her head in anyway they need to go get it checked out, Rather in actual combat or a non combat zone & even if the trauma was not all that bad and you just suck it up and went on forward....go seek medical help if you  injured your head during your military service.

TBI (TRAUMA BRAIN INJURY)
