This sounds like an "ebenefits" term, so it does not mean much.  It COULD mean either:

1.  An administrator (boss) noticed something "different" about your file, and took some action to process something.  It could be they thought you deserved SMC, an increase, or there was an error that was caught.  It could be good or bad.

2.  It could also just mean routine administrative procedures: ordering c and p's, finding evidence, verifying your service, medical records etc, etc.

The short answer is we have no idea, and you just have to wait.

Hello broncovet. It is an eBenefits Status but it is listed under my BVA appeal. My appeal was with the judge and then this status showed up about 5 days after being assigned to an judge.

When a judge gets your claim it might go back and forth between the judge and his administrative staff.  No real change if this is the case.
