Ramp Process is really Screwed up

Question

This morning I checked ebenfits and it stated that my claims were in the Notification Preparation stage #6

This evening I checked and it indicates the claims were submitted on 28 Dec 2018 and are now in the Gathering Evidence stage #3

I monitored the claims status since May when I opted into Ramp.. it had been saying decision by 14 Jan 2019  Now it says decision between May and July 2019

I knew from the moment I opted into Ramp, that things were not going to be any faster in fact initially I did not opt for ramp and advised against anyone going into something blind, that we have no way of know how this was going to work

well now we Know... its just as screwed up as the old system what a freaking shame.....

Well Broncovet...

I know what I read, and it did change....  It  continued to change from the Month I opted in...all the stages were listed and finally I was at stage 6 and then  back to stage 3.

Of course no one can say for sure if it was ebenefits or the ramp system.. it seems to me it was a VA employee reporting the stages,  kinda like the old saying Books don't lie, people who write them do!

I think others have reported the same issue.....

It could be getting back logged like the old system as thousand and thousands of Veterans are Opt into the RAMP...But as un-reliable as e-benefits is.....your just going to have to wait it out.

Making a 125 day decision opting over to RAMP   in my opinion getting longer and longer, hopefully you won't have to wait until May'July 2019 For a decision?

but its still better than the 4 or 5 years some of us had to endure.

Just got a call from some contractor to schedule new c/p exams for my claimed conditions..... and ebenifits is now listing as gathering of evidence for 3 issues and review for one issue.  I should never have opted into Ramp. I had already undergone C/P exams, and had submitted my NODs for the first denials. In fact, I withdrew one denial because after seeing a private Heart specialist, I learned that the Stupid VA Fellow doctor misdiagnosed me with a heart condition, it that I do not have a heart condition.  Now they want to do another (4th) hearing test, and they want to reexamine my left knee after I had already submitted an Independent Medical opinion on the knee and had one exam, and do a heart exam.  One claim is for an separate award for my sleep apnea ( combined to asthma/COPD rating), or in the least an addition step in  my SMC because when they combined all three conditions asthma -60,COPD-100, and sleep apnea 50.. they did not consider an addition SMC step for the 50% apnea rating.   Anyway I should have stuck with my original decision not to opt in, because they have now started over my claims with a date of 12 Dec 2018... and the claims are actually almost two years old... instead of reviewing the claims in ramp and making a decision they have decided to stretch this out... At my age I will be dead before they decide the issues.

I am so glad I found this forum because now I know I’m not the only one this is happening to. In June 2016 I received an increased rating, however the one thing that should have pushed me to 100%, migraines, was denied due to “pre-existing condition”. Now it is well documented throughout my records that headaches and migraines were caused from exposure to chemicals in the Navy. So I wrote the NOD and submitted the paperwork 14 days later. My VSO read over it and the records supporting my claim before submitting and said it was perfect. When the RAMP program became available my VSO advised me to opt in because the evidence was so cut and dry there really wasn’t much else the rater would need to do. I opted in June 2018. Sept 2018 I received a letter stating RAMP was going to close my appeal because a lane had not been selected. My VSO said “oops” selected the correct option and resubmitted. Then in Oct 2018 my status went from pending decision notification to closed. I waited a few weeks with no changes to ebenefits, no letter, no notification. Everyone I call says they have no idea what happened to it, it’s just closed. Honestly I feel like this was just a huge scam perpetuated by someone high up at VBA. I’m sure someone got a massive bonus for showing (on paper) that they cleared a large percentage of appeals.
